Data Sharing Policy
Annals of Clinical and Analytical Medicine (ACAM) supports transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in scientific research. Authors are strongly encouraged to share the datasets underlying their manuscripts whenever this is ethically and legally permissible, and they must clearly describe the conditions under which data can be accessed.
Access
How data may be shared
- Availability of Data
- Authors must specify whether the data underlying their study are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, or restricted due to ethical, legal, or privacy considerations. This information must be included in the manuscript as a dedicated Data Availability Statement.
- Publicly Available Data
- Whenever possible, authors should deposit datasets in recognized public repositories such as Dryad, Figshare, Zenodo, or institutional repositories. The repository name and the persistent identifier (DOI or URL) must be provided so readers can access the data directly.
- Data Available Upon Request
- If datasets cannot be openly shared due to privacy, legal, or ethical constraints, authors may provide the data upon reasonable request. Requests must be directed to the corresponding author, who is responsible for ensuring that any data sharing complies with ethical approvals, institutional guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Ethical and Legal Restrictions
- Datasets containing personal, sensitive, or potentially identifiable information may only be shared if participants have provided appropriate consent, the data have been sufficiently anonymized, or sharing complies with institutional, national, and international data protection standards. Authors must ensure full adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Supplementary Materials
- Supplementary materials such as tables, figures, appendices, protocols, or extended datasets submitted with the manuscript will be published alongside the article when appropriate and will remain freely accessible to readers as part of ACAM’s open-access policy.
- Responsibilities and Compliance
- Authors are responsible for ensuring that their data sharing practices align with the approved study protocol, informed consent conditions, ethics committee requirements, and national and international data protection laws. ACAM may request additional documentation or clarification regarding data availability during editorial or peer-review processes.
